Originally published in Ham Radio Magazine in October 1989, this unit sets the standard for preamp performance. Designed with variable gain and a tuned input and output, this preamp will keep out unwanted broadcast stations as well as enhance reception of weak stations. I have used one for over twelve years and have found that the pre-amp is often the margin of difference between hearing and working rare DX or missing out. Gain is controllable from 0 to 23 dB. |
